Tahitian Fish Friday: Barracuda

These long, slender, silver fish have very sharp teeth and are known to be aggressive, so snorkelers and divers are advised to steer clear if they spot one. Fisherman commonly pull one of these strong swimmers out of the sea while fishing in the deeper waters of the Rangiroa Lagoon. Although they have sharp teeth, always remember that none of the fish in the sea intend to hurt anyone, so please don’t be frightened! Enjoy the sight of this beautiful fish if you’re lucky enough to witness it!
