Tahitian Fish Friday: Octopus

You probably won't see one of these eight-legged hermits unless your guide happens to spot one dashing through the shallow waters around Motu Teta. The Octopus normally stays put in its hiding place among rocks or coral on the lagoon or ocean bottom. Even if you do spot one, you commonly only get a quick glimpse of a blast of black ink. These creatures are fast swimmers and don’t typically stick around to amuse human onlookers!
